Online Order Forms That Take Payment
A small shop, a studio or a service business can take orders from a single form. Customers pick what they want, pay and receive a confirmation, and you see the order straight away.
Use case
Take orders without back and forth
Customers choose items and quantities, enter delivery details and pay in the same form. You see each order the moment it arrives.
- Totals that update as the customer chooses
- Delivery or pickup options
- Confirmation email for the customer
Build one with the order form builder.
A worked example
Picture a local bakery taking orders for celebration cakes. The form could have three steps.
- Step one, "Your cake": a choice field for size (6 inch, 8 inch, 10 inch), a choice field for flavor, a number field for quantity and a text field for the message on the cake
- Step two, "Pickup or delivery": a choice field with two options, a date field for the day needed and an address field that appears only when the customer chooses delivery
- Step three, "Pay": a payment step showing the total
The price is calculated from the answers. A 6 inch cake could start at 35 USD, an 8 inch at 48 USD and a 10 inch at 62 USD, with a 10 USD delivery fee added when delivery is chosen. These numbers are only an example, and you set your own. Payment steps and calculated prices are part of the Plus plan at 149 USD per month.
Useful rules
- If Delivery is chosen, show the address step and add the delivery fee
- If the date is less than two days away, show a note that rush orders need a call
- If Quantity is above 20, route the order to the person who handles large orders
Rules like these use the same conditional logic available from the Starter plan at 49 USD per month, and they keep the form short for each customer.
What happens after the order
The order is saved only after payment is confirmed, so your inbox contains orders that are real. The customer gets a confirmation email, and your team receives a notification. All orders appear in a submission inbox with search, and you can export them to a spreadsheet file for planning the week or to PDF for a printed run sheet.
Fit for other businesses
The same pattern works for a print shop with a file upload for artwork, a caterer with a headcount field, a florist with a delivery date, or a tutoring studio selling session packs. Pick items with a choice field, ask for quantities with a number field and let the total follow.
Share it your way
Embed the form on your website with a snippet or share it as a link in social posts and messages. Customers on phones get the same layout, with a progress bar showing the steps left.
