Contact Form Builder for Your Website
A contact form is often the first thing a visitor uses, and a slow or confusing one costs you the message. Here is how teams build a contact form with FormsBuilder that works on every screen and sends each message to the right person.
Designing the form
Keep the fields few
A contact form works best when it asks only what you need to reply. A practical starting set looks like this.
- Full name, a text field marked required
- Email address, with validation so a typing error is caught before sending
- Phone number, optional
- Topic, a choice field with options such as Sales question, Support, Partnership and Press
- Message, a long text field
- Attachment, an optional file upload for screenshots or documents
Describe this in a sentence and the builder gives you a draft with these fields in place. You then change labels, mark what is required and set the order.
Add a topic that decides who answers
The topic choice is what turns a plain form into a routing tool. With conditional logic you can send a Sales question to your sales lead, a Support message to the person who handles help requests, and a Press message to whoever manages communication. The visitor sees one form, and your team sees only the messages meant for them. Conditional logic is included from the Starter plan.
Putting it on your site
Embed with one snippet
Build the form, copy the embed snippet and paste it into the page where you want it, for example your Contact or Help page. If you prefer not to touch the page, share the form link instead. Edits made later in the editor appear in both places, so you never paste twice.
What the visitor gets
After sending, the visitor receives a confirmation, so they know the message arrived. Your team receives a notification with the answers. Everything is also saved in the submissions inbox, which you can search by name or word, so an old message is easy to find when the same person writes again.
When a simple form is not enough
Show extra questions only when they apply
A Support topic can reveal an order number field and a file upload. A Sales topic can reveal a company size choice and a preferred contact time. Visitors who pick Press see neither. Short for them, complete for you.
Grow into a request form
Some contact forms turn into intake forms. A quote request can add a multi step flow with a progress bar, a deposit through a payment step, or a signature for a simple agreement. Payments, signatures and PDF copies belong to the Plus plan at 149 USD a month (74 USD billed yearly). Starter at 49 USD a month (24 USD billed yearly) covers the contact form itself, with 5 forms and 500 submissions a month.
A note on spam and bad input
Validation rules reject malformed emails and empty required fields before the message is sent, which keeps your inbox cleaner. Keep the form short and the labels clear, and most of the rest takes care of itself.
Read more about rules on the form builder with conditional logic page, or see how longer forms work in the multi step form builder.
Plans start at 49 USD a month, listed on the pricing page along with what each one includes.
